Design, Part Deux

Once we have our design complete, we send that design to our structural engineer for the Engineering step.  Engineering is the process of taking a custom design and adding in details that will give each critical trade in construction the details they need to build your home.  The engineering step is partly a “debugging” process where we work through all the construction details to work out any areas of concern.  Most of this process involves internal communication between us and our engineer to make sure that what our clients want is what will be built.  The outcome of this process is a set of plans that we then take to the local municipal construction permitting office for approval.
